Technology is truly changing the way we hire and video interviews are one of the most important hiring features that HR professionals are now adapting to. To help our customers expedite their hiring process, iMocha has completely rethought and redesigned our video interview platform. Introducing  Intervue, the new way of video interviewing.

What is Intervue?

While live interviews may still involve scheduling and time management issues, asynchronous video interviews are convenient, take the pressure off candidates, and are highly customizable. After interacting with a lot of our customers, and looking at reams of our own data, our product team put together Intervue. With Intervue, customers can add their own questions, view recorded candidate responses, and shortlist candidates accordingly.

What led to the redesign?

After the beta launch of our video interviewing feature, a lot of our customers started using it and gave us valuable feedback. We also collected feedback from the candidates, as ultimately they are the direct users of the video interview platform. It is from this feedback that we picked through and built a better experience for our customers and the candidates.

As a customer-centric organization, we know that the path to the customer’s heart lies through our ears. The redesign came from the passion to provide our customers and their candidates the best experience while using the one-way video interview platform feature.

What’s new?

  • Video recording window now gets a bigger space
  • Time limit for each video can be viewed clearly
  • The test window is structured into a 30:70 ratio; 30% space for the questions and 70% for the recording window.

Below is a short video to showcase how the process was before and how we have made small yet significant changes to the video interview feature.

Using the newly designed Intervue will help you

1. Reduce time spent on phone interviews

Recruiters spend about 30 mins on a call with each candidate. If a recruiter has to speak to even 10 candidates daily, that’s 300 mins of precious time just trying to evaluate the candidate on their verbal communication and getting to know them. Instead the same questions can be asked through a structured video interview platform saves a lot of time.

2. Eliminate scheduling conflicts

Asynchronous video interviews can be attempted by candidates as per their convenience. This eliminates scheduling conflicts and also reduces dependency on both the candidate and the recruiter for first-level interviews.

3. Design well-structured interviews

Recruiters can select the flow of the questions to be asked to the candidates thereby creating a structured flow. Questions can be decided in sync with the hiring managers. This also eliminates bias and ensures that all candidates face the same set of questions.

4. Enhance the candidate experience

There is nothing like giving interviews in a comfortable environment. Take the pressure off candidates by allowing them to record their responses from the comfort of their homes.
